Description
On the Winter Safari tour you will visit the National Park Þingvellir. This is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates. We will board the Ice Explorer truck and drive a highland road through a lava field where we will see lava craters and caves. After a great senary we drive to the geothermal and hot spring area of Hveragerði before returning to Reykjavik.

Departure:  Saturdays 15. January – 30. April at 09:00 from the main Bus Terminal in Reykjavík.
Other days upon request for minimum 10 persons.
Included:  Pickup from hotel in Reykjavik by bus, Ice Explorer expedition.
English speaking driverguide / CD guidance.

We reserve the right to change the itinerary and replace the Ice Explorer with a Super Truck according  to weather or road conditions.
