Description
On the Golden Circle winter Adventure tour you will visit the National Park Þingvellir. This is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates. We will board the Ice Explorer and drive the highland road through the lava field where we will see craters and lava caves. Following this remarkable experience we drive onwards to the Geysir geothermal field and the great Gullfoss waterfall. Geysir has spouting springs of various formations, bubbling hot water and exploding geysers while at Gullfoss you are given the opportunity to stand next to the amazing waterfall, watching its enormous quantities of water tumble violently into a deep, meandering gorge.

Winter Tour
Departure:  All Saturdays 1. November – 30. April at 09:00 from the main bus terminal in Reykjavík.

Pick up at hotels and guesthouses 30 minutes prior to departure. Drop off after day tours may sometimes not be right in front of your hotel/guesthouse due to narrow streets and actual coach size used during the tour.

Included:  Pickup from hotel in Reykjavik by bus, Ice Explorer expedition,  guidance in English and entrance to Geysir museum.
Lunch and refreshments are not included.

We reserve the right to change the itinerary and replace the Ice Explorer with a Super Truck according  to weather or road conditions.
