Description
By Langjökull glacier at the roots of the glacier we board our Ice Explorer which will take us to the top of Europe‘s second largest glacier Langjökull. We will explore the glacier and experience the unique traveling on top of the snow on a thick solid glacier. We will learn about its movements and see crevasses, caves and how the melting water forms rivers and lagoons. Furthermore we will see how the glacier is melting because of global warming.

Daily departure from Jaki hut at 13:00. A 30 min drive from Húsafell.
Road is good for all cars.

Duration: 1. June - 30. August.

Children 0 - 11 years: Free of charge
Children 12 – 15 years: 50% discount
